(IMO) Phone mount = another visual distraction to make it much easier to get into trouble.
I'm really of a mind that it's WAY better off tucked into my pocket. Wireless CarPlay is enough. There's still folks who do feel like you ALWAYS need to be charging the phone and a fixed location is better than having it bouncing around the console. I have the Wireless Charger and really never use it. (I'd have to clear out the console to make room for it to sit squarely)
