There was a Town and Country TV video posted on YouTube recently where Mitchell Watts ended up with a manual Bronco for the Dealer rep Off-Rodeo. Obviously he couldn't say much as far as driving impressions but basically said while rock crawling, he never had to even touch the clutch. Leave it in crawler gear and send it. Take that for what it's worth as far as off-roading with the manual.

He was also shocked at how powerful the 2.3 was on the high speed sections.

I went 2.7 because this is the most ambitious car purchase ive ever made and ive ALWAYS gone conservative. I am happy with automatic, ill blame the DSG in my GTI for that. Ive long since stopped caring about operating a clutch, but Im glad I know how to.
