I was seriously considering trading this OBX for a Raptor, but I changed my mind. I'm afraid it will make me a nice person instantly, and I'll start waving at people. I don't want to be nice. There are plenty of nice people out there, they don't want me in their ranks.Obviously…

Agree with this entirely.“Power” to a spouse usually means pedal response and “pep” like they are driving a Macan or X3. They don’t mean rear wheel horsepower and tons of boost.
First show her how to set it to Sport (and 2H if she doesn’t like the feel of 4A) and drive a few days. The FENG / ESE alone may be a hit!
For more, just plug in a Pedal Commander or similar product and call it a day, it’s plenty of throttle power on Sport+ for a spouse running around town. No need for 1000s of $$$ bolt-ons and maintenance traps if it’s not being purpose-driven off road.
The most beyond that I’d do is a JB4 or similar piggyback tuner that has a throttle boost option built in - but she’s got to pump the right octane gas in for whatever Map the tuner is set for.
If the complaint is the “ wimpy sound”, that’s maybe a Magnaflow axle back or similar, what people talk about around here anyway.
make sure to show her the “sport mode” …We have '21 OBX with 18K on the clock.
I gave it to my wife last night also, and she said she would like more power too. I wonder what my options are.
Adaptive transmission will adjust the shift points a bit, this is true. But it’s not a huge change - usually this is people complaining that it shifts late or has clunky shiftsDoesn't the Bronco "tune" itself to the driver? Maybe she just needs to drive it for a while for the Bronco to adjust to her driving style.
thanks but probably not the case here…Doesn't the Bronco "tune" itself to the driver? Maybe she just needs to drive it for a while for the Bronco to adjust to her driving style.
