I am a Jan 2021 reservation holder. I am going to pick my Badlands up tomorrow Friday April 1, 2022. Having pricing issues. The sticker price says 46590 for the base price. When I ordered in November the order base price was 444840. 46590-44840=1750 - 825 Certificate= 925. Who pays this $925 price difference under price protection? Ford Bronco Customer Service says all they pay is the $825 for the certificate and the dealer says they do not pay the difference that Ford does. Any information would be appreciated.

They told me to forget it when I showed the price protection. Now I’m trying to get ford to help after the deal is done. I’m likely screwed.

MY 22.5 price increase. Dealer will get reimbursed via SmartVincent for the difference, original MSRP should be passed on to you. RELEVANT PORTION: Last paragraph.

2022 MY Pricing for Customers Who Placed a Reservation or an Order Prior to March 19, 2021
What does price protection mean?
Ford will honor 2021 MY MSRP pricing if you had a reservation or order as of March 19, 2021. Your dealer will be issued a certificate for a similarly equipped vehicle that covers the pricing difference from 2021 MY to 2022 MY for the selected series and door configuration you reserved or ordered as of October 1, 2021. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

In order for you to receive this price protection, your dealership will need to search for and apply the certificate at the time you take delivery of your Bronco. You will not receive an email with the discount certificate. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

What are the new 2022 MY MSRP price protection amounts for customers who placed an order prior to March 19, 2021?

Bronco two-door Bronco four-door
Base $2,300 $1,500
Big Bend $1,900 $1,500
Black Diamond™ $2,475 $2,075
Outer Banks™ $1,900 $1,500
Wildtrak $2,800 $2,445
Badlands $2,975 $2,575

Why is there no price protection for features and options listed?
Price increases for 2022 MY were limited to series and door type.

How does the Bronco Price Protection program work?
If you ordered or reserved a Bronco prior to March 19, 2021, you will qualify for the price protection amount of a similarly equipped vehicle, based on the selected series and door configuration you reserved or ordered on or before October 1, 2021. This pricing adjustment will take place at the time of delivery through your dealer. As a reminder, the final selling price is based on the buyer’s agreement with your selected dealer. In order for you to receive this price protection, your dealer will need to search for and apply the certificate at the time you take delivery of your Bronco. You will not receive an email with the discount certificate. Final transaction details, including price, are between you and the dealer.

Will changing my order after March 7, 2022, affect my price protection amount?
For customers with an order or reservation on or before March 19, 2021, you are able to apply your certificate to a different series for the 2022 and 2023 MYs. However, your certificate amount will reflect the series you ordered or reserved on or before October 1, 2021. Changing your series, equipment package, number of doors, or 4x4 system after March 7, 2022, will cause your order to update with new mid-year price levels. See your dealer for further details on changing your order after the March 7, 2022, cutoff. If your vehicle is not built in the 2022 MY, price protection will carry over to the 2023 MY. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

Does price protection apply to Bronco special editions?
No. The Bronco Price Protection Program only applies to customers and the series offerings on or before March 19, 2021. Price protection will not apply if switching to a Raptor or Everglades™.

2022 MY Pricing for Customers Who Placed a Reservation After March 19, 2021, or Placed an Order Without a Reservation After March 19, 2021
What does it mean if I placed a reservation after March 19, 2021, or placed an order without a reservation after March 19, 2021?
If you fall into either of these categories, it means that you do not qualify for the Bronco Price Protection Program. The cutoff for that program was placing an order or reservation on or before March 19, 2021.

I have placed an order, will this mid-year price increase affect my pricing?
If you do not change your order after March 7, 2022, and take delivery of your 2022 MY Bronco, your order qualifies for retail order price protection. This protects the MSRP of the vehicle at the time the 2022 order was received by Ford. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

I have an unconverted reservation that was placed after March 19, 2021. Will price increases affect me?
If you convert by March 7, 2022, your order will reflect the initial 2022 MY pricing. If you convert your reservation after March 7, 2022, your order will reflect the most current pricing. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

Will changing my order after March 7, 2022, affect my Bronco's price?
Changing your series, equipment package, the number of doors, or 4x4 system will cause your order to reflect new mid-year price levels. Make sure your order is configured properly prior to the March 7, 2022 cut-off. If your vehicle is not built in the 2022 MY, your new 2023 order will reflect 2023 MY price levels. Final transaction details, including price, will be agreed upon by you and the dealer.

What would really be great is a bulletin number that the dealerships could pull up for reference, instead of buyers doing all the leg work.

People are saying you'll get a check in the mail for the price protection difference from the dealership about a week after you buy your vehicle. I don't know if that's standard, but it's the only thing I've seen reported here. If this is true, it also means you have to pay tax and finance rates on the higher amount.

Having the same issue….. reordered MY22 on October 8, 2021 after the original order for MY21 on 8/11/21. Price increase for MY22 was $975. I get it. No issues.

Recently got my Blend Date and Window Sticker with a new MSRP (MY22.5?) increase of $1750. Dealer is playing dumb. Which MSRP should I be paying, the MSRP at the time of the reorder or the current MSRP?…. and how do I convince the dealer?

OK, so does anyone know how to reclaim the difference from Ford?

It's supposed to show up as a rebate to the dealer under your name in their system. I don't think it comes directly from Ford.

Picked up BL today, this is what happened. The code for the $825 for model year 21 to 22 was in the Smart Vincent, so the $825 was applied to my sale. After the sale was completed the Smart Vincent generated a line 38446, 2022 model Bronco Price Protection II for $1250-$2000. The dealership said the check for customer cash would be mailed to me from Ford. Not for sure why it could not be applied to the purchase price.

I went the the dealer yesterday to pick up my 2022 Bronco badlands with sasquatch
they put on sales order $925.00 for the price protection it should have been $2550.00
they said they need a certificate from ford. the price protection has to have a certain certificate # which they have not found. Does anyone have that certificate # I would not sign the sales order until i have the correct price for my bronco, so my bronco still sits at the dealer. anytime you sign a contract to buy something that contract is final. you cannot ask for anything else unless it is written in the contract. as they are not putting the extra S1600.00 into the contract. hopefully they can find the correct information today.

Yep, but, at least in my State, rebates are always taxable via sales tax anyway, the financing, if you don't use the rebate amount to pay the principle down immediately when you get it, yeah, it will raise your effective interest rate on the loan as well.

BigRayMo,
As I stated, the Smart Vincent did not generate the 2nd rebate/price protection certificate until after the sale was completed in the Smart Vincent Program. Not for sure if they (dealership) could or would complete the sale in the program to generate the 2nd certificate prior to purchase. You may want to call ford Bronco customer service.

Did you ever get this resolved? I was able to locate the $975 certificate number for the MY2021 to MY2022 price increase, but I can't locate a certificate for the $2000 MY2022 to MY2022.5 price increase. I'm trying to get this figured out before I pick up my 2 Door Badlands in a few weeks.
