Thanks to you guys I learned that I got the wrong torx bits to remove my rash rings.
Thought I would make a public video to help others educate the correct ones to get.
Let me know if I dont need to quit my day job.

I may try and make more videos if I get a good response.

Thanks

I think investing in an impact driver would also be a plus.

Thanks for posting - any link to share on the proper set? Likely should buy one now…

Edit: Disregard; I came across another post by you with the set (I’m not a stalker, I swear).

I just ordered the Neiko set now. Appreciate it!

You didn’t mention why one set over the other? The Torx Plus I believe has slightly more squared off edges to the wings. Was the other normal torx bit stepping out when you tried to use it?

Yes sir, the star pattern on the Reg torx tend to slip and strip. I could have done a better job at explaining the reasoning for sure.

Ive had a tire and wheel guy strip the thread in my lugs with improper Impact driver usage.
Figure I will always play it safe.

Are you using a torque wrench to take them off?
The only thing I had to get some weight on the bolts. Everything else was small hand size tools.
What would you recommend to use?

If it is all you have, use it. It is just not the best for torque wrench calibration. Taking off those bolts will probably never throw the thing out of calibration, but using it to take off a tire will.

If you are going to want to make youtube videos, which the more the better in my opinion, maybe get a 1/2 socket set! You would get eaten alive in the youtube comments for using a torque wrench. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, just constructive criticism. There is plenty of things I do that isn't right. :)

Thank you for the advice!
I appreciate it, the wrench is really old, so it’s kind of a all usage tool to me. Would never use it to be dependable. Plus, aren’t bad comments just as good as good ones on YouTubes! Lol.
