WOW! I was just looking at the catalog a couple days ago after seeing the Bronco 6g Discount post. Had the table in my cart and decided against it because I wanted to hear real world feedback before forking out the money and dealing with a janky product. Glad I am waiting.
Step 1- Get Bronco
Step 2- Continue watching people tinker with their Bronco and report back issues or mistakes to avoid.
Step 3- Having learned from other's screwups, proceed to make my own.
I'd pass on this item. I'm losing my mind trying to decipher the instructions.

Are these “screws” or bolts?

I have the table sitting in my garage - but still no Bronco (built July 16th).
The instructions provided are AWFUL. I’m not surprised someone f’d it up. Someone needs to do a video on the install process!
I just got mine delivered - I will do an install video this weekend.

Interesting they don't want rivets used. Those would be flat and have great clamping force without an issue for backspacing.

Are the taped holes already in the tailgate? Or is drilling required? If drilling is required, it is really easy to slip and hit the next wall behind the surface you are drilling.

I noticed this at a Florida dealer. It appears that the screws may be a bit long on the tailgate table install.

When I saw previous reports of this issue I figured it was the drilling step, or using an impact to set the screws.

Shorter screws or washers. Regardless, yet another fuck up from Ford.

Glad I ordered something else while I wait.

@Ford Motor Company get your shit together

I want a table eventually, but I think I'll go with the one that also has a slide out cutting board built in, if I ever find the manufacturer for that one again.
I'm not sure I'd want to install either, the idea of drilling holes in my expensive car is not all that appealing....

That’s awesome! Thank you! That’ll help a lot of people out getting this thing installed. I would’ve done it but my Bronco’s stuck in purgatory 😞

I'm just wondering if it was the screw or did the drill bit hit the tailgate, I used to customize vans and trucks in the 70s and I've seen screws do this but I also saw this from drilling holes and hitting the skins of roofs with the drill bits 😉
