Defender no question. Love the Bronco but had two LRs before this and no comparison. Price to offroad/features is my hangup. If someone wants to trade me a 22 Defender 2D 90X straight up I'm game.

Well a defender with any upgrades that matter will cost you at least 120k bc I just priced one. So I think the discussion is over

Some of the best joggers I know are defender owners.
You have to wonder why they make them with heated bumpers ,so your hans stay warm while pushing in winter.
Don't forget the super reliable electrical system ,Lucas the prince of darkness.

Bronco .... Hold my beer

As many electrical gremlins Ford has with the Bronco that title might change hands.

Yes, I did consider it. I like the styling, but that is where it stopped. I wanted the roofless, doorless option; the more rough and tumble feeling of the Bronco. The much higher purchase price along with the horrific long term repair/maintenance track record of the Rover family was the clincher. Also, the Bronco looks normal lifted while the Defender looks awkward and the Defender does not have a winch option to my knowledge. But it does look cool!

If prices were equal? Maybe a 2 door Pangea green with white top and wheels, sure.
While production was in limbo I had my eyes on a Defender 90 in green that was a dealer loanr and price would have equaled what i paid. I think the new 3 row Defender may give the Grand Wagoneer a run in the stratospheric close to $100k market

The fixed top of the Defender is a non-starter. Most of the miles on my Bronco will be with top off/down and many days I’ll have the doors off.
Besides like/like MSRP, the fixed roof is the major reason why I haven’t gone to test drive a Defender.

I DID consider a new Defender. Then I thought about the maintenance cost, sticker price, depreciation and how bad they rank in the JD Powers report.

That being said, if I were to get a Defender and money wasn’t a huge deciding factor, it’d be this one. A 1990 110 V8.

Wouldn't be interested in a Defender at half the price of a Bronco.
Since I have a moar door, does that mean I have double the Bronco?

Also, OP - Is your name Doug Demuro by chance?

Considered it. Looked at cost. Strike one. Looked into what options to get the high off road capabilities with out getting a lux vehicle. Strike two. Saw a Sasquatch Bronco. Strike three.

Considered it for a sec. Then thought I would never take it off road and the top does not come off.
