Update...
Steering rack upgrade programming Instructions....WORKS ON ALL BRONCOS!!!
So you will need these things.
Forscan installed and usable adapter.
Fords FDRS program downloaded and a subscriptipn (2 day is $120)
You will need a quality adaptor like a mongoose
You will need a VIN # from a 22.5 WT 3.0 HOSS (or other trim with OEM hoss 3.0 steering)
You will need a battery charger.
From motorcrafts site you punch in the WT3 vin and download the asbuilt data and save it in your forscan asbuilt file directory.
Hook up 4 scan to your truck and plug the adapter in the OBD connector.
After connecting the vehicle to a battery charger and forscan, save your original VIN and asbuilt data to your computer...
next the change the as built data in BOdy controll module, and c-cm (cruise controll module) ... You do this by clicking run, then "load all" and select the WT3 VIN from the directory you saved it in....then select write all.
Do this for each of them, follow the propts, then do an AWD and PCM relearn.
Next disconnect forscan.
Load up FDRS and switch to the mongoose adatper. (You can also use Mongoose for forscan)
Let it load from VIN. It should show the WT3 vin. (It may see both VINs, pick the WT VIN)
Next click on PSCM and then on the right you will see PMI ....download and run. Follow the instructions.
After complete, unhook FDRS and re-hookup forscan change your VIN back using the above steps but choosing the correct VIN from the directory where you saved your asbuilt data.
After that, go back to FDRS, run seft tests on The modules in orange, and clear the DTCs on all modules. Recheck.
You may need to run the update available on the ABS module as well.
..................................................................................
Well here it is folks it showed up and she sure is sexy in a beefy way!!!!
Ford wants $1700 to do the install but can't seem to get the programming or calibration for it
🫣🫢
Anyway I'll devise a solution very soon since Ford's programming team is slow and well just plain dumb. ( Maybe this is why some folks have not got their new WT yet....their built but the programming is way behind....)
I'll keep the community informed and up to date on this awesome upgrade as it progresses.
UPDATE....
The PMI is now FINALLY available and this 3.0 rack can now be programmed by your dealership or anyone with FDRS. (Tech needs to change VIN to WT 3.0 or other comparable trim with 3.0 steering from factory)
2021 models do require forescan changes as well.
The extreem duty rack performs excelently.and feels more powerfull and assistive even on 37s.
Highly reccomend !!!
Update....Ford Performance has finally listed this part and the programming available on website....
