I got a check engine light the other day and it went into reduced power mode. I pulled over and shut it off, restarted and was able to get home ok. I checked for codes and found nothing..... Anyone else have a similar experience??

Strange occurrence. Any unusual stress on the engine, high heat driving or off road use. Fluids good? Sometimes will not throw a code until the next occurrence. Hope it reveals it self.

What Ducati said, if the CEL clears you have to have a reader that reads the stored codes.

Whatever you’re using to pull codes likely isn’t good enough. Send me your VIN and I’ll check connected data
I PMed you the VIN.
I checked both an SCT programmer and my whipple tomahawk v2, neither one could find a code....

I checked with my dealer and they want to check the wiring harness for corrosion.

I have found that the Tomahawk will miss a lot of codes as well as not be able to clear them such as ForScan can. GLWTF 🤠.

Found out the same with the ProCal scanner - it only looks at the PCM, and everything else it more or less just pretends doesn't exist.

Aggravating…….I've been getting 4x4/powertrain fault about every 30 days like clockwork, only when starting engine….doesn’t go into limp mode or prevent goat modes, lockers or any other powertrain functions. Turn off engine and start it back up faults gone and doesn’t do it again for about another 30 days. Tried the whole trickle charger idea and doesn’t make a difference. No codes… Service advisor says they’ll need to keep it for a few days as the troubleshooting procedure is fairly in depth module testing??
Hope you get it fixed as painless as possible.
