Ford Bronco 2022 Badlands Manual.

Just had the wrench pop up for this issue. I was on the freeway in Phoenix and my car would not accelerate pass 50 mph. I pulled over turned my vehicle off And made an appointment at the closet dealership.

What have been your experiences with this issue and what kind of resolution happened?

Could be a hundred different things. Without knowing the codes it set, kind of hard to narrow it down.

Feel like I'm on page two... No lead up to wrench just I have a wrench... You put EV only fuel in it is my guess...

Interesting……couple days ago I had just parked at home and 2 hours later I started it and got a multitude of messages along with the Powertrain malfunction and wrench. Drove fine to my destination, turned off, and when restarted everything was normal wrench gone, been almost a week no issues but it does show under alert history in Ford Pass. I just chalked it up to either battery prob or just a. Wild tic. Guess we’ll see what hap0ens in near future

Exact same thing happened to my 22 manual Badlands with 42,000 miles.

Took it in no issues found. Had my vehicle for a few days and the powertrain Malfunction code is back!

I just had the same problem and took it to dealership that same day. They said it was bad gasoline that caused the powertrain malfunction. Funny thing was engine light came on 50 miles to empty, and I had just filled up the tank that same day before taking it into the dealership. Ford Dealership said bad gas is not covered under warranty and need to pay $799 to empty tank and put new fuel in or file a claim with car insurance and have them fix it. Ford mechanic also said to put in sea foam and burn out gas and should be fine. (which I did, still have issue) Took it in again and they said cylinder 4 needs to be fixed now. Did insurance claim and waiting approval but not looking good. Any suggestions on what I can do if insurance does not approve? Can I fight Ford dealership and tell them to cover under warranty? Thanks

I would be looking at the retailer that sold bad gas, not a ford problem.
