Hahaha you rubes thought an auto trans was free with the 2.7? Nothing in life is free!!!! It doesn't matter they made you think that for two months. You don't have $1600 extra and now you can't afford it? You poors are so cute worrying about four digit numbers. I'm paying cash and will just move my money around a little. I'm making so much in the market I may buy two!!!

That's not me. $1600 matters. I'm a bit tired of some on here talking about how little increase it is. Try fitting this Bronco into a real tight budget. Maybe some of us our trying to decide if we can even afford a $40K car let alone a $50k to $60k car. WTF?

I dunno, I see a lot of people constantly complaining that Ford is screwing this up and botching that. I think that all of this is rolling out in some challenging times and to expect everything to be near flawless is kind of unreasonable. Things are fluid with supply and pricing, I'm ok with that up to the point where we order. Look, there have been some missteps, but overall I like what they are selling and I am buying.

In my opinion Ford has messed up almost every step of this roll out. The things that annoy me the most are Ford saying they would deliver Broncos per reservation time stamp then turning around and bringing in this allocation system to screw everyone over who shopped around for a better deal with smaller dealerships, and now they are jacking up prices right before the order banks open. I mean seriously they should be charging extra for the manual automatic were already developed and are standard in every other vehicle. What are they going to up charge for next? Power windows and automatic locks. Sorry guys we forgot to charge you for the blinker fluid. I am not looking to argue with the guys who think 1600 dollars is nothing. For someone like me 1600 dollars means a great deal.
I'm beginning to wonder if price increases are the result of delays beyond Ford's control? For example, Ford is probably investing in getting Webasto's issues sorted out so Broncos can get produced. People are beating up Ford in just about every thread lately and they are likely needing to do things that are costing even more money to get things rolling and take the pressure off.

The last Ford I owned was a Capri, back in the day, and I see Ford hasn't improved much in the ensuing decades, supposed to be a world class company, sure couldn't tell it from the last few years debacles. And now they totally screw the pooch on this roll out, the entire thing has been unprofessional as hell.

Sorry, I don’t let them off that easy. You want to blame COVID for the delay on the order banks opening? I’ll oblige.

But to put out an inaccurate B&P tool and then let it sit there for two months and then update it. Then when questions come up to say “hang tight” “more to follow” “they’re working on it” or whatever nonsense Levine wants to reply with, is not relative to the pandemic. They are either rushing to put crap out or are playing a deceptive game.

This is not a new company. Ford has been around longer than anyone.

Nice theory the OP has. I have found in most of my experience that people like attribute nefarious motives and greedy tactics in situations like these, when in reality it is incompetence that is the true culprit.

The mistakes that have occured with Ford's launch of this product are purely incompetence of those put in charge, not a grand scheme to get people to psychologically get attached to one trim over the other, then raise the price on them.

Now incompetence doesn't warm my heart any more than deceit, but that's how I see it.

My concern; as we continue to wait and wait some more....what about MORE potential price increases?! Then if further delays occur and we do not receive our Bronco's until the Fall or late in the 2021 year, possibly even into the first quarter of 2022 (I am speaking of earlier reservation folks)....WILL we be charged for a model year price increase? I need to point out this all at NO FAULT of OUR doing! There should be some cut off date, example; if you reserved your Bronco by Sept 1, 2020, Ford would honor all pricing as advertised from 7-13-20 through 9-1-20. Or are we going to get dinged a thou$and here and a thou$and there because FORD continues with delays (and more price increases)?!!! I love these Broncos but for what they are, IMO they are already priced quite high.

You are correct. Covid should not be a get out of jail card as an excuse to delay or not fix B&P. If Covid was such an issue; why is the Bronco Sport being delivered right now? Same with the 2021 Jeeps....they are on lots. Other manufacturer's are receiving their 2021 NEW models as well.

I find it incredibly sad, because America once ruled the automotive world, but not one of the companies that were called the Big 3, has been thought of as a World Class Company in many decades.

Excellent point. Regardless which it is, this lays squarely at Jim Farley’s feet for allowing it

So my two choices are that the Ford entity is;

1) like an evil genius mastermind who skillfully manipulated the emotions of people to maximize profits through a combination of intentional misinformation and premeditated plausibly deniable errors in all facets of communication without anyone getting wind of it.

or

2) that they hired a not exceptionally competent low bidder to do a website?

(looking up Ford stock pricing since 2014..., checking Explorer roll out from last year... built the Mustang II, Pinto, the Edsel, and thinks the future of the company is the EcoSport...)

I think I know which way I am leaning.

Don’t forget about the $795 increase in the Sasquatch package for advanced 4x4, they don’t tell you it’s $795 more, they just sneak it in.

The reality of how much this is going to cost is starting to hit home for sure. And it’s more than I had originally planned on. This is even before whatever other accessories they may try to tempt us with. But they’ve intentionally built this up with all the hype/ marketing in a matter to hook you and make it hard to walk away. I tend to do the opposite as the masses and for me this originally was just that, an anti-Jeep if you will. But it seems to be so full of itself that it’s becoming annoying.
