I have automatic climate control. Recirculation is default on all the time. I do not use Auto setting. I turn off recirculation and next time I start vehicle, it's back on.

It is 120+ degrees in Bronco when I start, I want the cooler outside air, only 95 degs when I start engine. Is there a way to make recirc default off?

i Don’t think so , though if you did leave auto on at say 68 degrees it would function mostly as you want . I don’t always love autos fan speed choices either.

Yes, that is why I don't use auto. The fan speed usually goes to max. Not exactly what I want inside a hot car.

Interesting.
I'll turn my recirc on (no AC) and it shuts off after a few minutes.

Sounds backwards...Ford has programmed the recirc to turn off sepending on humidity inside of the truck.

Now with that said, For the first time yesterday I noticed something...

Normally I always use Auto, and have it set to level 1...recirc won't stay on. Hiwever yesterday I had it set to level 2 with the AC on and noticed it put on the Recirc (hot day off roading).

I find Auto works great..just adjust the 3 levels to what works for you because it seems to control more than just "fan speed"
