I have them on my January blend 22 Basequatch

I'm now curious how I missed them. Probably because it was actually a December blend, that got stuck until Jan-Feb. Wonder if Ford is going to offer to replace the cap for those that request it due to the whistle?I have them on my January blend 22 Basequatch
Just noticed them because of this post haha"Eyesore" might be a little extreme. They are tiny and black on black. I am willing to bet 90% of those on this enthusiast forum have never noticed if they have these or not. I know I never noticed.
I’ll take “With Turbolasers,” please. In case you were wondering where this technology came from:
Second time I’m seeing this today. Saw posted on FB these are the replacements to alleviate the whistling. But, what on earth would those little wings provide? Kind of an eyesore, no?

Boundary layer control. In the picture above, those little tabs are referred to as vortex generators.
You'd be surprised by how small changes in surface shape can affect aerodynamics and as a byproduct the resultant noise.
There's a reason why vehicle manufacturers put their designs in wind tunnels.
You can understand that even on a box with wheels aerodynamics apply at both the macro and micro levels, right? And the bronco is a box with wheels.
