Anyone had issues with their screen blacking out when in reverse? It was really lagging over the weekend and then blacked out this morning. It's currently working, but ai am concerned that it will do it again.

Is it the entire screen that is blacking out, or the camera blacking out? My apologies, I'm not sure what it looks like when engaged on the 8" screen.

I have the 12" with the 360 cameras and have been experiencing some sporadic blackout on the passenger side camera. It seems to happen now about 30-40% of the time. I plan on having this addressed the next time I bring it in for service.

Had this issue on my front camera, only worked about 50% of the time. Just got it back from the dealer and this is one of the warranty items I had them address. They replaced the coax running to that camera, according to the papers I received. Good luck.

I might take it in. It's just every once in a while though. My luck is that it won't happen while they have it and they'll say they don't see a problem...

Try to get it on video when it happens. One of the good things about having the modern phones. I’ve done this twice already. Both times the device advisor thanked me and asked
E to send him the video. That way they can see what’s happening without wasting a bunch of time.

Could be the camera or image processing module, probably not the APIM. If it happens, smack the mirror a few times to see if that makes it start working (no, I'm not kidding). Might be a connection problem inside too.

This is for single camera problems. If the whole thing blacks out, it's more likely the IPM.

This was a recall on my husbands 2015 Mustang. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and there is a message, sometimes there are lines running up and down the screen. He received the recall notice in April, but they still don't have the parts available to fix it. It's only acted up maybe 10 times the last few months. Maybe they were using the same faulty cameras in the earlier Broncos.

I had mine in for other issues when I had them look at the camera, and I guess they were able to reproduce the problem. Just luck of the draw for you unfortunately. FWIW, I noticed that mine seemed to be affected by vibration (I turned it on during a car wash and watched it blink on and off). So the loose/defective cable that they replaced makes sense to me as a root cause.

My rear camera is fine but the 360 camera is not working. When I shift into reverse its just full screen of the back up cam. What's weird is if I jump in, turn it on, and put it in reverse before the screen fully boots up, the rear view with 360 camera will show up on screen for like half a second before goes back to the reverse camera only
