I hope you get yours early and they get right on it. I want SOS sliders.

The only changes I will make from the ones I have now are to get the plates welded on the top like yours. I really didn't think about it when I got mine, but the sliders with the openings are dangerous to my dogs. I'm paranoid that one will get their leg caught in it jumping in or out.
I second this. One of our dogs did get their legs caught in the opening. It was terrible. We are now getting plates welded on top.

Sure we're not looking at the step bars?
Ford says each rail can hold the entire weight of the truck.
I was going to say the same thing. No way the body is going to support a rail that is supporting the weight of the truck.

Ford says their rails will hold 1.5 times the weight of the truck. I will still add rails anyway.

Attached pic is of my factory rock rails, I think Ford should have went this direction over body mounted rock rails - makes no sense.

That's definitely the real deal right there. Def makes no sense that Ford would do it differently for their newest off roader.

I effing love the sliders on my Tacoma being that its a fat trail pig that feels like it has a 500" wheelbase...

Very early on I am going to add frame mounted sliders that are stronger ad that stick out further to provide some margin when your against a tree/rock and leaning over.

Nothing wrong with a good body mounted rail/slider. Just a matter of having them be thick enough and designed in a way that the load is spread out evenly among the mounting points.
The rocker guards below have 6 bolts on the side and the bottom is sandwiched between the body and the body mounts. It is sturdy as hell.

Do frame bolted rock sliders require drilling or do they take advantage of existing holes? I'm new to this so assume I know nothing. Because I do.
