Very nice - great pics! But, in terms of your comment that "it will only take once for you to realize what that feels like" I can go on the recored right now saying that it IS going to happen multiple times to people in my family, and maybe even me. Wish I could say it won't, but I am a realist...

In fact, this just made me realize that I am going to have to remember to use the "off" switch when I am working under the truck because someone will come out of the house and open a door and crunch my legs, sure as anything...
Yep, the cutoff switch will be key for sure.

My suggestion on the magnet placement is to use tape on each side of the door jam sensor And have it run down the side of the truck. Closing the door will allow you to match the tape on the outside of the door itself and then rolling it up under the door sill. Pics on instructions show the vertical placement fairly well. After taking 40 minutes and multiple fuse pulling events to “reset” the system and my sanity I had this epiphany 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great tip for the lateral placement! I bought the big magnets from Amazon after reading all the issues with the factory ones. I have 3M body moulding tape that I presumed would be sufficient to hold them. I guess I could use a laser level to get the height correct, now that i think about it.

I got the magnets and tape as well because of suggestions in this thread.

Care to share a link to those magnets and moulding tape? TIA!

I bought these, but others are available. The tape I already had and is from any auto shop (NAPA, Autozone, Advanced Auto…)

2 questions...

Any updates on 2 door shipping? Finally got my Bronco...

Those that have installed on 2 door - did the kit come with installation instructions? I checked the RSE site and they only show 4 door installation instructions.

Thanks for the quick reply. Just bought the steps with the latest group buy, I will definitely pick up these magnets 🧲 from Amazon for the install. Stopping by NAPA today for the 3M tape.

Anything on the 2 door orders from the first Group Buy?
Trying not to nag but we are past the time frame for the last up date.
So far, half of the 2drs that were ordered have shipped. They said my entire remaining lot will be fulfilled next week

There is joy in Mudville, or at least my portion of NJ! Got my Rockslide Steps late yesterday and was able to get them installed by this morning. I called RSE to make sure they did not want us to use Loctite (blue) at least on any of the anchor bolts (they don't) and while on the phone they referred me to an awesome install video by Motoroso -

As you can see in the pic - the hard foam they use to secure the steps during shipping is perfect to position the step for using a floor jack to raise the steps into position. I just used a piece of the cardboard to keep from scratching and enable them to slide for slight adjustment.

It was so good I decided it would be useless for me to video my install. I will share a couple pics and pointers, though. They make note of making sure that you leave the brackets a bit loose and that when you move the steps into place with the pinch bolts, that you then tighten those up to draw it into place (using 7/16" and 1/2" deep sockets) and then torque them to 8 and 18 ft lbs respectively. Once those are in, place the bottom bolts (1/2", and use an impact driver and save yourself a lot of grief to attach steps to the brackets.

Finally, then you can go back and tighten all the body bolts and bracket bolts and it should all be snug and in place.

The Amazon longer magnets allowed for much easier placement and I did not have a single issue with any of the doors activating properly. My wife was overjoyed at how easy it was to get in and out now - well worth the money! Thanks for the great deal @Doetsch Off-Road!
