Hmm, that notification each time seems annoying, no?

I’d rather have my dash camera notify me. I hate random honks though, lol.
I don’t mind the honks because other than the occasional trash truck vibration, the honks are few and far between and based on actual movement to the windows, doors, etc. But yeah, the text notifications about doors opening (when I open them) is annoying.

May I ask how much to have it installed? My dealer quoted me over $600 to install.
My dealer matched the $50 install price that’s listed on accessories.ford.com. It’sa super easy install that you can also do yourself.

Thanks, I said no way to the $600. How long did it take them to install and how do you like it so far?

I left it with them for half a day, but I don’t know how long it actually took them. Had to take less than an hour knowing how the install instructions go. It hasn’t gone off for me, but Like a lot of off-road gear, it’s just as much for peace of mind and insurance than anything else.

Thanks, do you know if it came with clear instructions to DIY it?

Also interested in this - just ordered one and wondering if I can actually do it myself.

I think these are the DIY instructions. After looking through that PDF, the DIY is a lot easier than they make it look. You literally just unplug the harness from the module behind the glove box and plug the harness into the new security module. Then connect the other side of the module into the existing module behind the glove box.

15. Disconnect the Gateway Module electrical connector, plug the VSS T-harness into the back of the module and plug the other end of the VSS T-harness into the vehicle harness.

  1. Install and secure the VSS module to the instrument panel frame or wiring harness on the driver side of the vehicle to the left of the steering column.
    • Ensure the VSS module is positioned so the shock sensor adjustment knob can be accessed for later use.
    • Ensure the tie-strap is routed through the VSS module loops at opposite corners.
  2. Connect the VSS harness to the VSS module.
    • Secure the VSS harness with tie-straps.

Unfortunately, there’s been a few break-in posts on this forum lately. And I learned something new today (thanks @amccue90!) about Ford Pass Securialert.

For those who don’t know, like me:

After a recent Ford Pass update, now when you go into it under Vehicle>Safety & Security>Securialert there are now options to be notified via the app that the hood, doors, or tailgate was opened.

Anyone have any experience with this? Find it helpful? I just activated it myself so I’m curious any feedback - also wanted to ensure others were aware of this feature too.

Hello All- Securialert tile doesn’t appear on my FordPass app- any suggestions?

Be happy, it's pretty worthless. EVERY time you open something, even with key in pocket, it alerts you. Sometimes 20-30 min later. And that delay makes it worthless if it is someone else. Yes, you can turn it on and off, and I supposed if I parked in a town outside, I might appreciate it more. but I spent most of my time clearing the list of alerts.

My Base with 2.7L/Auto doesn't show a Securialert button in my app. Should all Broncos have it, or is it an option?

I've run out of a store or restaurant too many times to an alert only to find that the alert was 20+ minute delayed. So many false positives make it worthless for me.
