I am installing upper control arms and the only thing that is giving me trouble is separating the steering shaft from linkage on the driver side. In all of the videos I have watched it seems to come apart pretty easily by pushing upward on the shaft, but mine absolutely won’t budge. Any tips or things I might have missed? Yes, I removed the bolt through the shaft lol

Hit it with some WD-40/PB Blaster and sit for a bit. Also, there's a split you can tap a small screwdriver into to open up just a tad to free it. Make sure your steering wheel is straight and take notice of the spline location when you separate. Splines are very small so doesn't take much to throw off the steering wheel center.

THIS.
Make triple-checked sure the wheel doesn't turn 180 degrees or 360 degrees off in the time it is disconnected or even when trying to wriggle the shaft back into the coupling.
In wriggling mine back into it and periodically checking to make sure the wheel was straight, I turned mine.
Changing out the clock spring isn't all that fun.

Thanks y’all. I was able to get it out with a bit of encouragement using a pickle fork. Frontend all reassembled, now onto the rear!

Pull out your steering wheel towards the seat. That might help some.
