Denture cleaning tablets work pretty well. Fill it up with water, drop in a handful and let it fizz and sit for 15 min. Easy cleaning for all water bottles, camelbacks, etc.
Genius 👍

Have your standard RTIC 45 and 55

Or the best choice for that 2-door lifestyle, the Dometic 33

An example of how much a 33qt cooler can hold:

14 lbs of pork butt
9 lbs of ribs
15 lbs of whole chicken and 12 lbs of cool packs

This kept the food cold for 5 hours while shopping on base while the Bronco sat in direct sun (82 degrees ambient, freedom units) the entire time.
Pork and ribs aside for a different discussion..

What is that shelf you have in the back of your Bronco??.. and I guess I need to know if you have a 2Dr or 4Dr..

The performance capabilities of modern coolers are awesome ,I got one of these at a truck stop and I'm blown away how long ice keeps in it! Best 20.00 spent in a while

Wanted to chime in that I used the Dometic 33 for a 2,700 mile, 10 day Moab trip including hauling 6 lbs of cured and smoked bacon along with 4 lbs of smoked cheeses that were given to everyone in the group as snacks.

It required a re-fill of ice by day 6 but otherwise has performed very well for its size.

(Dometic 33 pictured in cargo of Bronco while camping on the White Rim Trail)

Typically a 55 quart will be used for a 3-4 week camping trip to a dry lake bed in the Nevada desert in August where daytime temps are regularly 120+ degrees and shade is minimal/ineffecient. You're faced with the options of "capable cooler and eating food" or "dude, I saved $200 but have to starve to death". I don't even want warm cocktails when it's 120 degrees.

Your standard issue $75 Igloo or Coleman cooler will keep that ice solid for all of about 5 hours. ONLY 20 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

The comments about expensive coolers are hilarious in a group where the minimum purchase price of the vehicle is over $30,000. Seems a strange place to make your stand on the budget, as if buying a Bronco means you must eat rancid food. :ROFLMAO:
We stayed at this exact camping spot last month when we did White Rim! Such an awesome trip!

The Yeti 65 fits in there perfectly "sideways". And then makes for a nice platform for other stuff.
In this case, another cooler lol.
This is in a 4 door BTW.

That's why I picked the 65 as well - it fits just right length-wise and helps to maximize the space.

I had the Orca cooler, I think the older style front runner plastic bins may fit along side, not sure as I don’t have them.

although I am not a fan of yeti… I wanted a quality small cooler, the color helped persuade my purchase(what an idiot)

I just purchased a rack to mount on my tire carrier, I think the plastic front runner bins will be a good fit on the rack. The angle of the back seats prevents the plastic front runner bins from sitting atop the cooler. I can put the soft bins on top.

Inside shelf to be added at a later time.

For me, it’s more knowing a rough idea what it costs to manufacture vs its retail price. Yeti and others have created a monster. Their margins are impressive.
It's over a quarter million dollars to get the tooling made for a rotomolded cooler, plus you must buy at least a ton of plastic pellets and dial in your color, along with the injectable insulation.

This coming from Maluna's Financials when they did a kickstarter about 6 years ago.

You need to sell a lot of coolers at $75 each to break even with current costs of manufacturing. There's a reason rotomolded coolers work so well as actual coolers, and it isn't because they're blow molded plastic with air in-between (ie: igloo/Coleman, etc).

I'll pay for something that works. Much like how many people on here didn't buy Honda CRV's for their offroading vehicle of choice.

I like the price point on these Lifetime coolers. How well do stickers stick?
Is this the 48 or 65 and how well does it fit in your 2/4 door?

I’m well aware. Also aware they have huge margins and have been doing quite well.
