There’s a lot of options out there but one to check out is ASFIR. I have their transmission skid and cross member skids, combined with factory transfer case and engine plates. I don’t have their fuel tank skid, but I like how it can be installed without having to drop or otherwise support the tank.

I have the ASFIR Transmission skid. It hangs down less than others and has an easy and effective attachment. I use factory transfer case skid, like $40, with a home built extra support like the one ASFIR sells.

RCI has great quality skids. I installed their transmission skid on my Badlands (only area wide open with stock skids). I will ultimately get their sliders and full set of plates when stock wear out.

Also highly recommend:
- RCI crossmember skids. Your cross-members will thank you if you plan to do any serious wheeling.
- DV8 rear shock/control arm skids.

Without being on a lift, I couldn’t get a great picture but maybe this will help. You can see the transmission and cross member skids in the picture.

You can install the transmission skid with the stock engine skid?

Yep! Only thing I had to remove was the Badlands sway bar skid (the RCI skid ultimately covers everything). You won't need to worry about that with a Wildtrak.

So far I really like the RCI transfer case skid for $250 when on sale. Then Talon Garage transmission skid is a decent addition for $350 with BroncBozo $50 discount. Lots of options, none are what I consider the best.

I swapped out the t-case and engine skid and added the transmission, crossmember, a-arm and rear diff skids to my Badlands from RCI. opted for steel. Really happy!

Aluminum RCI skids here! Except for the stock engine skid. It will be replaced when I do the bumper and winch. I left the aluminum raw. I like the look!

X2! I bought their transmission skid also. I bought the steel one instead of the aluminum one. Cheaper, and probably stronger.

I am trying to figure out the needed skid plates for a badlands. I have the standard skid plates that come with it. Is the transmission skid plate, cross member , rear diff, an arm , rear shock skid plates the way to go Is a front lower arm skid plate needed if you get an an arm skid plate. Also on Amazon it looks broaddict sells the entire skid plates for 500 seems really cheap.

Having a WT really doesn't have much to do with it but there are plenty of companies that offer full skids.

Personally I have the JCRs and love them. The Gas tank Skid was a bit hard to install because of hole alignments but that is an easy fix.
