I got 17.6 in my f150. I reset my trip meter over the weekend and it often is higher than 20 mpg, which makes me happy. I like to use sport mode, which probably doesn't help.

Mine is around 20mpg when I'm driving normally. About 17.6 when I'm driving to work because I need to get there on time, or if I am driving in town with tons of traffic. I think for an average it's close to 19 with me bigger tires. Not bad.

The 2.7 barely penalizes you in MPG and actually slightly improves the highway mileage in the BD and BL. At least officially. Big factor in why I'm considering a switch from the 2.3.

I was thinking about that washout interior being helpful in this situation. I do have the floor liners which helps a lot.

1. Lean your knee inward to the center console
2. Open door
3. Let the water do its thing
4. Then get out
