I will say though, this pulling the soft top from its fully open position to close is a true pain in the tail.
The IAG cargo struts are supposed to help a great deal. In their video, they lift it straight up with one hand from the fully open position. I'll find out when I get mine... 🤞

I'm not having an issue with the front two latches but the latches in the middle by the B-pillar have been impossible to get to latch. It's like the latch is too deep for the hook part to latch onto. I've tried pressing down on it with my weight and just won't get there. Going to put it all the way back and try to take another look but otherwise I'm not sure what else to do about it.

Any suggestions?
I ran into this yesterday, the 1st day we had the top all the way back. It was a pain to get the middle latch you speak of to let go enough to get the top retracted. Then, virtually impossible to get it latched when putting the top back up. What finally worked was to pull the whole top forward with one hand while pulling up on the driver's side middle latch. For the passenger side I also pulled the whole top forward with one hand while using the socket tool from the glovebox to get leverage enough to push the passenger's side middle latch down. I can only hope it gets easier from here 😅😅. And regarding the OP question, the front latch on the driver's side was really hard to snap shut the 1st few times we had the top in the sunrider position - this seems to have corrected itself now though.

Just got my Bronco, noticed the top was quite difficult to snap shut, both front and rear. I've got the IAG struts on order, and assuming the clips will settle in with normal usage.

As mentioned, I just let it drop (like a hood) when I am on the way down and that seems to seat things pretty well. My teen pulls down on the side when he is latching just to make it easier to clamp. Never encountered a real problem with closing the clamp. I will say that sucker locks down tight when you close the latch.

I just checked that out thanks to your post. Plus, makes it easy to open the cargo area. Simple solution -I'll order as well and post in a few weeks when I get mine.

Noticed this as well. Delivery 3/1/22 BL SAS, has it gotten better?

When closing my soft-top, the latch on the drivers side is extremely difficult to snap shut. The passenger side latch has no issue at all. I don’t see anything blocking or obstructing the latch. Has anyone else ran into this issue?
yes
Exact same thing to my 2022 big bend. I took it dealership they fixed it

If I’m understanding you, both of you have a tough time with the middle latches? I took delivery last week and had same problem. Even brought my bronco to dealer to have them take a look. Service department wasn’t open and sales guys didn’t know exactly what the fix would be. I found a thread explaining each bracket has some wiggle room. T30 bit to loosen the brackets, reposition, tighten back up. I had to adjust the center clip piece as well as the rear bars that get latched too. Wasn’t bad at all to do myself once someone pointed this out

What I did to fix the latch issue with the small middle latch that lets it go from position 1 to position 2 if it is stuck unlocked: Prop up the soft top in the rear. Go back to the latch area, pull down on the soft top and at the same time, push up on the latch. I got mine to snap in with this method.

I ended up bringing it to the dealer and they had to re adjust the alignment

Did you ever get around to making a video? Would be super helpful. I'm having the same issue.
