I've had my 2 door Base for a little over a month now and finally got around to taking off the front sections of the hard top for the first time this weekend, however, it was not meant to be. After releasing each of the latches, all areas of the driver's side section release from the vehicle except for the area above the front center latch (the latch closest to the center console where the aux switches are). Same thing is also happening on the passenger side.

Any ideas as to what might be going on? Hoping it's something stupid that I just overlooked, and I'd like to resolve myself without going to the dealer, if possible. Thanks in advance.

Yeah thats weird. They shouldn't be giving you any problem when turning them. Are you sure you're turning them the right way? 😄

Lol, yes I am sure. It's like that center area is fused to the vehicle/not releasing.

Mine has been only off twice and a couple times it stuck there a little. Give it a bit more of a pop and it should come up.

They also come off in a specific order. Make sure the driver comes off first. It sits over top the passenger

I may or may not have utilized a rubber mallet at one point (don't want to void warranty).

Double check the order you are removing them. It matters.

This sounds like a waxing issue.
I haven't washed it yet other than cleaning the wheels with some wipes, lol. Unfortunately, haven't had an opportunity to drive her much.

Sorry but I’ve got to ask a dumb question since I made the same mistake... You’re releasing all four latches, correct? (Three turn and one is a leaver.)

You're not driving a Bronco Sport, are you? That roof is not removable.

Sorry - Couldn't help myself.

Not a dumb question, but yes, I'm releasing all 4.

Gotcha! FWIW the weather stripping on both of mine were a little sticky the first time I took the panels off and I had to pop them lightly with my fist a few times to initially break the seal.
