Just because someone engineered it doesn't mean it got used (I know this from experience). So both could be right in a sense. For me, I would assume some map data would need to be used, since someone turns onto roads all the time without a sign anywhere to be seen. Ford could've disabled the cameras because of (fill-in-the-blank reason) and still been able to show it from the GPS/map data.TBH, why should I believe you other than one of the actual real-life, shook hands, Ford engineers who built it?
Instead of acting like a jerk, why don't you go out and try it for yourself?TBH, why should I believe you other than one of the actual real-life, shook hands, Ford engineers who built it?
Wasn't trying to be a jerk, but I guess it did sound like that. Apologies. I was just asking for clarification on what led you to believe that there was not a camera as a data input.Instead of acting like a jerk, why don't you go out and try it for yourself?
All good.Wasn't trying to be a jerk, but I guess it did sound like that. Apologies. I was just asking for clarification on what led you to believe that there was not a camera as a data input.
I suppose I could follow behind someone in a truck with various Speed limit signs, and have him/her hold them up, to see if anything changes.
Edit: I and 27 other people before me said the same thing. When driving your vehicle the car reads the speed limit signs and posts it on your screen so you know what it is wherever you are.My previous bronco did it and so does my2021 f150
I didn't even know this speed display thing is a feature, perhaps not available on my base base? Or maybe because I have my manual trans base setup as old school operation with no chimes, alerts, connectivity etc.I love the sign thing - it's off for sure. Or maybe I drive too fast.

Yes this can be set in Forscan! The Bronco comes from the factory set to GPS only. There is no debate here it is 100% fact. But you can use Forscan to set speed limit recognition to “fusion” and it will use camera as well. Like most other Fords.I believe I've seen a forscan change that affects this exact thing. it gives you a choice of GPS data or Camera data, and even a "blend" of the both. ( one is likely default if the other sends no data)
It's reliant on having the built in navigation. My 23 had navigation removed because of a chip shortage, so no speed limit sign reading for me.y'all... y'all have speed limit signs that come up on your dash?
is this a trim package specific thing because i definitely do not have that (it does show up on the map if i'm using navigation, but never on my dash area)
interesting, so which module is missing? It's reliant on having the built in navigation. My 23 had navigation removed because of a chip shortage, so no speed limit sign reading for me.
