No, but I still put a covering over the pinch weld to further protect it from rock chips etc before putting on the boards. I'd seen this idea on another thread on this site.

This fits perfectly along the pinch weld and only takes a couple rolls each side.

i ordered a bronco with rock rails, well the badlands comes with them is a better way of putting it. I kinda like the looks of the step rail but think the unfinished area where the rock rails attached looks sloppy/horrible. Plus the step bar instead of rock rails was not an option. I’m wondering if anyone knows if I can put both the rock rails and step rails on at the same time? After seeing so many complaints about rock chips I think the step would help eliminate or significantly reduce chip issues. I realize I can take either off/on and obviously would remove step when off roading. Thoughts?

Way outdated as I am just seeing this. I think I am going with these. I feeling that I may have to mod a bit (weld) but nonetheless, itll look clean and provide that protection that you are looking for. Just food for thought and simplicity.

I didbt take a pic of that. But it looked like spray in liner over pinch welds.and they are covered by the boards but provides added protection

I ordered these for our bronco, wanted the sliders to be able to bolt and weld to the frame and also give a step for all the short people and the women to allow them to get into the bronco easier. SRQ Fabrication

I'm interested in these it wondering if you need to drill holes in the frame or if they use existing holes for the bolt mount, do you know?

For the EZ-Step Add-on…what is the difference between V1 and V2? Is it only the location/height of the step (V1 at top of rock rail and V2 at bottom of rock rail about 2 inches lower)?
