I was just about to start a similar thread. I ordered the tube step on my build. The stock photo from the accessories page shows black plugs or something covering the holes. Mine has nothing and it looks like a piece of trim fell off. Anybody have any ideas?

I can't help you with your question, but I am curious if you think your tube step rails help keep the dirt/grime/rocks from hitting the doors and body of the vehicle?

And some company is working on a step that could be mounted on the OEM rock rail.
Any idea which company? I Think one already came out with them but I think they were pretty expensive.

To be honest, I haven't had her long and haven't had a chance to get out and do much. I live in the concrete jungle around Houston so not much around me except Galveston sand. I do travel 50 miles a day and no issues from anything on the road though.

I'm thinking of picking up some DeeZee NTX running boards(regular cab size) for my 2dr Badlands Sasquatch and making a quick disconnect so I can pop them off easily.

Is this what you are talking about?

I think it is less noticeable on a darker color Bronco. Here is a stock image I found of an Outer Banks with Step Rail in Anti-Matter Blue...

I am getting an Eruption Green Badlands with Sasquatch. I would like to see some actual owner photos of the tube step bars with an anti-matter blue or black Bronco to compare.
I found this picture today, courtesy of @stuckinohio

I have pretty much convinced myself to get some kind of step rail. How easy is it to remove the rock rails?

I GOT THIS!! I ACTUALLY HAVE SOMETHING SOMEONE LINKED!!!

Well... Let me slow my roll. I ORDERED this. ZROADZ called me to tell me that it's going to be delayed because they're made to order on the 2 Doors. So, It'll be arriving about 2 weeks after my Bronco.

But it's all good, baby! Yeah!

So, I just changed from factory, Badlands, to RC steps and sliders. Dropped off supercrew at shop with gravel lot yesterday. Threw up a lot of gravel once back on paved road, but none made it past them to the body. Yes, lost some ground clearance. Yes, they're aluminium. Yes, mount to factory locations. Just figured I'd throw it in FYI.

This one from ARB is frame mounted. Definitely a rock slider but wide enough that you could probably use it as a step… albeit fairly high off the ground.

I ordered these for our bronco, wanted the sliders to be able to bolt and weld to the frame and also give a step for all the short people and the women to allow them to get into the bronco easier. SRQ Fabrication
