Currently have BFG KO2's 265/70/17 mounted on American Outlaws (17x8.5). Wanting to go with something bigger and aggressive. Stock suspension. Will likely be adding on leveling kit and removing crash bars (if 315 route). Recommendations? Pics of your build?
Thanks!

Without a lift the 285s are probably the safest route for no rub. 315s will fit but I suspect they will rub at full flex. I'd also be concerned about gearing...the 315s are going to kill the performance.

If you add on a minor 1.5 - 2" lift/leveling kit you can easily fit the 315s. Otherwise, 285/295.

But I agree with @PWillette. If you have a standard Base with the 3.73 gearing... adding 35s is going to make everything feel a bit sluggish. It'll work for sure, but your acceleration will be impacted, and of course there will be an MPG hit. Not end of the world, just need to decide if the trade-off is worth it to get a more aggressive looking vehicle.

Ford Bronco Stock Non-SAS Base: 285's vs 315's? 20230706_141221

Non-sas big bend, auto (3.73), 285/75/18 (35"), 2" RC lift, -18 wheels..

Bars gotta go, otherwise its perfect imo.

I went from 23mpg to 21. The weight & size did drag It's acceleration down.. but pretty minimally. Filling it with 93 instead of 87 would bring all its pep right back... but I don't bother.

I came to the Bronco from a ranger that had much lighter 32" tires on it... the Bronco is quicker and more efficient.. so I'm all smiles.

What engine & tranny? The 2.7 auto with 315s will probably over come the high gearing.

2.3L with a 7MT. Leaning towards 285’s but feeling like I would regret not just shooting for 315’s haha

Don't sleep on the in-between sizes. 285/75r17 and 295/70r17, 305/70r17, etc. Bigger than the 285/70r17 (33s) but not quite 315/70r17 (35s).

(I guess you could call them "34s".)
