Told again by dealer that broncos are like jeeps and this noise is normal. Will look one more time, if they can't locate anything its just a noise the truck was "created to make". @Ford Motor Company why did you make a tailgate that clicks?

They're bullshitting you. They tried to do the same to me. Consider bringing to a different dealer.

Yes. And the plastic, rectangular pieces at both ends where the door hinges and latches.

I had same issue and believe I cleared it up installing a tailgate reinforcement plate…I bought the one from Hammer Built and installed it this weekend.

Thanks for the reply. When you applied it, did you just use paper towel and wipe the whole thing? Just got my bronco about 3 weeks ago and it already has the noise. Hoping this fixes it. I had my wife sit in the back(her request) and she said she thought it was coming from inside the tailgate door.

Did you try tightening the hinge bolts before going to the plate or were you going to get the plate regardless? I’m having the same issue and trying to decide what to do. Thanks

I used a shoe polish dauber but a towel would work too. Let us know.

I couldn‘t figure out exactly where the rattle was coming from and I tried everything from removing panels, replacing connectors, installing kilmat…and then finally installing tailgate plate. And for the most part the worst of the rattle is still gone. Easy install and it looks great.
