I’m getting a base model and want to go with a 255/85 and keep it on the base steel rim....rim width is 7” and I’ve found several good tires that will fit on that rim, you guys think I’ll need a lift or not? This size puts it right at 33”x10”

If I end up with a non-squatch Base this is also my thought. Cooper Discoverer MT Maxx. I wouldn't think it would need a lift as other standard suspension models use wider 32" tires

To squatch or not hinges on availability of a rear locker al a carte on the base

I could always go with a 235/85 on the base rim which makes it about 32”...I’m not going with the Sasquatch because I want the manual transmission

I'm going with pizza cutters. Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's in 255-80/17. 33x10. Hoping I can squeeze that extra inch or half inch, depending on which model I go with, without a lift. Black Diamond or Big Bend.

Funny thing is the stock tires on the Big Bend are actually a 1/2" taller than the ones on the Black Diamond.

I know several guys that have the 255/85 16 on the base wrangler with no lift and no issues at all....I like the Black Diamond but out of my budget ??

I have 235 85 16 on my 05 Rubicon, good, too narrow for the 8" Rubi wheels, would be nice on a 7".

I like the extra 3/4 inch height and width of the 255 though

What brand tire do you run?

Good point, the aftermarket groups probably can’t wait to make some money off us ?

255/85R16 would be an awesome Overlander tire size to go with.

Rangers need a 2.5" leveling kit .
It doesn't look like the Bronco will be that bad.
Even a 1.5" leveling kit would probably be more than enough to clear the 33.5" pizza cutters.

Looks like a good size. We can't know if they fit till some one tries them. But it is so close to what you can get on the big bend or black diamond it should fit.
Will the gear ratio be a problem ? 33's on the Badlands get lower gears. But I don't think 32's on the big bend do.

If you're getting a stick shift, even 35"s will be OK.
A little soggy starting in first. but GTG once rolling.

I doubt that if you drove two stick Broncos one after the other, one wearing factory 32"s, and then aftermarket 33"s, that you could tell the difference.

Tire width affecting the bump steer and rut following, rolling resistance and total rotational weight will all be bigger factors than the 3 inches going from 30" Base tires to aftermarket 33"s

The Big Bend comes with 32s and 3.73s so it should be fine. I'm guessing the 4.27 is if you get the rear locker.
