If the hard top could go into safari mode, that's all I would have. But since it can't, I have dual top. I rarely open up my soft top, and when I have, it's been at night which is really nice. But, I do like to take the rear windows out when I know it's not going to rain over the next few days and enjoy the open cabin feeling. For the driver and front passenger, the AC is ice cold and very strong, otherwise it's enjoying the breeze through the cabin.

I do appreciate the easy of use though of the hard top when it comes to keeping the bronco clean. I take it through the car wash with the HT on. I do it my hand when the ST is on. I also like the look better with the HT, but don't necessarily mind the ST look either (it is a ST after all).

But if Ford had a HT that could remove the back windows, that's all I would have personally. It would scratch both itches.

But if I were a young girl living in Florida, like the OP's daughter....well, the ST would be a must have.

Thanks for the feedback. We are in Chicagoland and bought her dual top Bronco in November so this is our first summer. She likes the "idea" of having the soft top on, but we haven't put it on. I can't do it by myself although it is possible for a single person do it. I am thinking if it was on she would never open it as she mostly drives interstate in her commute.
We probably wasted the money by buying the dual tops and just should've stuck with the hard top.

There is no way I could swap the tops by myself without destroying the paint work on the back of the car! The ST is clumsy to get it seated correctly to install it. If you ever do put it on, do yourself a real favor and buy those roll bar covers for the back before you do. I have the IAG covers, and can't say enough good things about them. They've saved the paint work on the rear roll bars so many times now, it's not even funny. When my 17 year old son an I put the ST on this past spring, despite our best efforts to be careful, I still nicked the crap out of those covers.

When I was younger and DD'd my TJs, they were soft top for the fun factor. Much later, both my JKs were hardtops for DD reasons. Now that my JL is a part time driver, it was back to soft top.

As I've stated seemingly a billion times, I'd love to order a 2-door soft top Bronco but Ford doesn't seem to really fully understand this market....

I’m late to this party. I just got my 2 door last week.

I got the hard top with the intention of adding a soft top. I had assumed BesTop, but I see some shade about the angled back.

Are there other (better) choices?

Unfortunately Gen7 will be out before Bestop (if they ever do) puts out a soft top for 2-doors like they do with Jeeps. You'd think someone else would since they don't have 2-door love.

In 2024, Ford sold 110k Broncos. Jeep sold 151k Wranglers. In the first half of 2025, 72k Broncos vs. 85k Wranglers. Maybe when top mfg. see that the Bronco is closing in fast on the Wrangler, they will start making a quality softie for the 2 & 4-doors. But honestly, I'm tired of waiting.

I bought my Black Diamond Sas with a soft top partly b/c I thought it would be used more then taking a hard top off. But the main reason was hard tops were not readily available. Fast forward a couple of years. Love my soft top and not sure I would buy a bronco without it. Yes its probably louder also does not look a clean as a hard top but I love flipping the top partly down, fully down and sometimes in the summer just leaving top up but rocking safari mode with windows out. I am buying a sun shade for it for summer to see how that is. I would imagine it will be like safari mode but a bit windier. Anyway, I love my soft top.

Soft top and even the ski rider folks.
anyone use a brushed car wash? Bestop advises against due to soaps.
Not the soaps you worry about, it's the brushes putting fine scratches in the rear window. I never went through a car wash with my soft top and still the rear window is trash 3 years later with a million fine scratches in it. Can't see shit out the back.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a bottle of plastic polish (made specifically for plastic windows). It works great.

I forget what I got before... Meguires vinyl something or other. Don't care about it anymore, I went with a Wolfbox G900 pro and have no issues seeing out the back anymore. Basically with the JBL Soundbar and scratched up window in back, I wasn't seeing shit.

The slant back is awesome. Don’t be distracted by haters
