My guess is that the soft top is still being developed and wasn't at the "let's invite the neighbors over" state yet.

Seems to me they are really pushing the modular hard top especially since you can't even get a soft top on the 2-door... hopefully it's just as easy to remove and stores nice onboard as well.

I had the same question. How can the soft top not be ready after all this delay? Perhaps it looks so bad they don't want to market it? I have a love hate relationship with my jeep soft top. I was hoping for some improvement.
