Was hoping that you might say "The Explorers are roughly, XLT, manual a/c, all wheel drive, basic radio, cloth interior - blah blah blah".

Well, there's nothing "typical" about fleet specs. Some are basic, some have a little more. The gov agencies spec them out with the least and the most options, and it's up to the different agencies to decide what they want, then they purchase off of "the list" of approved bids.

Our original offer hasn't changed. Only Ford's dropping of the X-plan has changed. We're still at -$1000 below invoice, $250 (+$15 sales tax) for the document fee. WV Temp tags are $10.

Ford of course is refunding the 100 dollars so will I need to reach out to dealership to pay 100 for reservation or just settle up once I finalize my order this month?

Reach out to Tina there and she will get you square with them. They only are calling for the $100 reservation amount at this time and stated shouldn’t be needing additional funds until delivery.

Well, that depends on what your "other" dealer has for their deal. If they're offering MSRP, then the potential savings could be in the thousands of dollars. If their ADM is more than $250 + sales tax, then the savings could be even more.

Good point. Raptor911 is only considering the savings vs. Invoice pricing. No standard dealers are offering invoice pricing, it is all MSRP pricing + fees, now that X-Plan is off the table.

Ugh. Unfortunately, for me, since I am going with a base with sasquatch, it looks like it will save me more money to go with the $2,000 below MSRP at Laura Ford (now that Xplan is off the table). I was looking forward to the trip to WV.

$735 savings compared to someone else selling at invoice with no doc fee. Not many dealers have signed up for that yet...most are saying MSRP + doc fee as it stands. Thats a lot more. More dealers will break though as the option to switch dealers hangs over them now.
