So cross-shopping the lil Bronco now...and the Badlands trim with BL/Tow package, has ALL the bells and whistles that most of us want...for 38k!!! How is it that it's 60k for all those in a big boy? It makes no sense. Rear Locker, Adaptive Cruise, front camera, Heated Steering Wheel!!, B&O sound system, Advanced Auto, POWER SEATS!....I just can't take the danged roof off! But how do they package all that rather economically while gigging the dickens out of us on the Big Boy??

And after this latest fiasco, a new B&P in March, which will be oh so helpful after we order in January....I think I'm ready to just call it a day and move on. So sad. I really want to go softtop for the first time in my life.

Maybe it's all physically smaller, so they make a t-case that's 2/3 the size, a motor that's 2/3 the size, a steering wheel that is 2/3 the size, and with all the tiny little things they can charge 2/3 the price? All just a joke of course.

It's about market and demand. They can't sell the Sport in the same class as other vehicles in that price range, but they can sell the Bronco for more because they have buyers that will pay more. It's not about cost to manufacture, necessarily, but what the market will bear. The market for the Sport wants to pay no more than $40k, and in many cases less. The market for the Bronco will pay up to $60k, although many want to pay less. Has some to do with cost to manufacture, but more with how much is the buyer willing to spend on perceived value.

We have until mid-March to order, I think the exact cutoff date is March 19. Your dealer might pressure you to order sooner but we can choose when we actually order. As long as the order is placed before the official cutoff date, your order timing has zero impact on delivery time regardless of what your dealer tries to tell you.

Be nothing wrong with getting something else if that how you feel! Then waiting till it's all lined out to buy! If you were to buy a Badlands Sport be getting nice rig! Or hell want to get a jeep so have that soft top that route is great too!

Think after yesterday video everyone is a little discouraged and defeated!

Also nothing wrong staying in the game and waiting it out! It's all about how you feel I think you'll make the best choice for you and your family!

Body on frame vs unibody. No low gear in the Sport. Smaller engine options. Rear IFS.

If you're looking for something that will handle light duty trails only or a mallcrawler, have at it.

Heh, I was going to walk away to a MachE until I came to realize the Mustang I have ordered is for my wife and not me. So having kept my reservation, Big Bend rear locker here I come. If I hate the Bend I will just be stuck with my Explorer...

You are not required to submit your order configuration to your dealer until the March deadline. That said, the sooner that Ford receives all orders, the sooner Ford will be able to determine the build/delivery dates, including things that are late delivery.
