I've been considering the same question about tires for my OBX. The problem in my mind is almost all the tires available in 275/70-18 are LT tires which are heavier and generally ride harder the a P style tire. While this may not be a concern for everyone it is for me.
If you don't mind a LT tire there are many options.
That was my concern with the KO2's also Paul. The 285's on my Jeep are "C" load range, and I was surprised that I can't feel any difference in the ride from the AT's that came from the factory. Now, we also have to consider that I have them on a Jeep. And Wranglers aren't the best riding vehicles out there for sure. They may very well make a difference on a Bronco.

I got Ridge Grappler 285's for my BigBender. The K02's are somewhat common, but still nice.

Thinking of getting KO2 tires for non Sasquatch outer banks. Anyone done this? Is it better it to get a lift and bigger tires instead of KO2?
I have a thread on this for my obx build and there are several other threads. I love mine.

Based on this thread it looks like good options to research are:
KO2’s
Ridge grapplers
The Cooper ones from page 1.

any other tires in this class worth looking into to upgrade from the stock OBX?

Nice! Exterior looks identical to our build which is hopefully happening in January. The white looks really sharp. May I ask if the ride quality is affected by the tire change or is it pretty similar. I really like the retro Bronco badge too.
Are those fenders an option or an after market thing? This is exactly what I want. But I do want a small lift. Thanks

275/70/18 KO2 on stock rims with no lift and crash bars in tact. I love it!

Sorry, very new to the tire game. Am I to understand you just swamped out the stock tires with these bad boys and no other changes were required? This looks awesome.

That is correct. I used the original OBX wheels and just added the tires. No lift and did not touch crash bars.
