Thinking of getting KO2 tires for non Sasquatch outer banks. Anyone done this? Is it better it to get a lift and bigger tires instead of KO2?

Short answer? Plenty of people have swapped tires.

Several threads on this topic if you search for them. Really nice seeing photos of what other members have done to help you choose.

275/70R18 tires seem to fit fine on stock rims with no lift.

I’ve seen a number of people do this here, may take some digging (or perhaps they’ll respond) but it’s been done and it looks fantastic. OBX wheels really take well to upgraded tires IMO

275/70/18 KO2 on stock rims with no lift and crash bars in tact. I love it!

Nice! Exterior looks identical to our build which is hopefully happening in January. The white looks really sharp. May I ask if the ride quality is affected by the tire change or is it pretty similar. I really like the retro Bronco badge too.

I rode about 200 miles with the original tires. The ride is slightly rougher but nothing that I would complain about. If I didn’t ever try the original tires I will think it’s a perfect ride. The speedo is off by about 1 mph and the MPG is down to about 17.5 from 19.

I ordered those tires too and mine is also white. Beautiful ride! Great pics.

I just put a set of KO2's on my Wrangler, and I have been very happy with them. Much quieter on the road than one would expect, and the big thing is they don't pick up small stones to throw at your side panels as bad as some other tires in the same class.

I've been considering the same question about tires for my OBX. The problem in my mind is almost all the tires available in 275/70-18 are LT tires which are heavier and generally ride harder the a P style tire. While this may not be a concern for everyone it is for me.
If you don't mind a LT tire there are many options.

Don’t worry about it. I was paranoid too. These particular tires ride absolutely beautifully.
