My daughter decided to move up to a small SUV from her 2015 Ford Focus w/75k miles. She got an offer from Carvana last month for 7k. Yesterday, it was up to $8,900. Nearly $2k increase in less than a month!
The problem is that they are predicting even bigger shortages with new vehicles on the lots. People are now buying used at an alarming rate and that market is on fire and will be for the year ahead.

Yeah, it's nuts. I had planned to buy a 2-3 year old F-150, for my wife. Bought a brand new 2020 for less than a used 2018.
Note: most of the savings was from Ford Incentives. Dealer was still over invoice, but Big Ford had over 7 grand in "we don't want 2020s on dealer lots" incentives.

Makes me wonder what ford's price adjustment will be for 2022 or 23 that weren't reserved..?big price hike?
My trade in for my high mileage 2016 Prius is paying for half of a newer Lexus NX300...

I did go to KBB for a quick valuation on my 8 year old truck. Quite surprised.
I’ll be selling my 2005 Crew cab Silverado 2500 Duramax. I was going to wait until I had I delivery date but may sell sooner. I’ve been watching the used market on these and I am optimistic on making some money on it.

Carvana offered me $32,000 for my almost fully loaded 2018 F150 XLT Sport 4x4 302A with 36,000 miles. That's about $8000 less than I paid for it. Vroom offered me a couple dollars shy of $40,000.
