Wonder if I can use this to rig something up like this? I'm dying to have this setup for fishing

We are sure you can make something like that. We do not have plans to add that currently. But the possibilities with this mount are nearly endless.

Yep. Ordered.
For that cost I'd be hard pressed to fab something up that looked as good.
Functional, fits, works, powder coated, looks good.
Thanks, TrailRax for not overcomplicating or overcharging.

cool idea and placement. How would you recommend routing the antenna wire? Or would it simply fit in the gap between hood/fender?

@TrailRax would this work and not look weird with a Midland stubby radio antenna?
Yes it should! Most, if not all, coax cables have a 3/8 diameter stud to mount antennas to and should work great for a Midland!

Shared with TrailRax via email but wanted to share here also. Used TrailRax Bronco Trail sight mount with a 10mm X 1.25 threaded “C” sized Ram mount ball with stainless locking nut. Then simply added a RAM 2007 Ram Rod fly rod mount to the ball. I intend to use this as a rod holder between access locations so I don’t have to break my rod down each time I move from spot to spot. It’s not lockable so it’s not really a solution if you plan to leave your car unattended.
