UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

I don't understand what this strike has to do with why I can't get my bronco that has been sitting at the rail yard since 8/17? Just plain dumb!

Mine was built 9/7, shipped 9/9 and arrived at the dealer 9/15. I’m picking it up on Wednesday 9/20. It shipped via rail to St. Louis, Mo. I have no idea why in the world yours would be sitting?!

The UAW has abandoned the 46% pay increase. Do you really think the Big 3 will close every Union plant in the US and Canada and open up plants in China and Mexico?

They may not do it today but if cost of labor and quality does not warrant manufacturing in USA it will leave sadly. I want more USA manufacturing!

CEOs in the USA are grossly over-compensated and place companies in the US at a significant disadvantage. Add medical benefits are covered by foreign governments while the US consumer-based model exists, the disadvantages to the American worker are immense. Assumption and baseless accusation of union corruption is laughable.

Not sure if this was posted yesterday, but UAW rejected Stellantis's offer of 21% over 4 years. And TBH I don't blame them. Inflation has definitely gone over 21% these past few years. I can't imagine what it will be in 4 more

Let's do some math.
Annual UAW dues ($70 x 12 month x 140,000 members = 117,600,000)

2022 UAW salary ( link below $207,000)

$117,600,000/$207,000 = 568, meaning UAW dues/revenue is 568 times higher than the UAW president's salary.

Ford revenue $136,300,000,000
Ford CEO compensation $22,813,174
136,300,000,000/$22,813,174 = 7,026.47
Meaning that ford's annual revenue is 7026 times higher than ford's ceo salary.

So tell me who is overpaid?

I’ll sum it up for ya then- there was lots of Union corruption in the UAW. Embezzlement of millions by higher ups on lavish vacations, homes, etc. very recent too. Not sure how you missed it.
