anybody with their bronco got the sticker that shows Canadian/ US parts content?
It's pretty good on the ranger and I figure the Bronco will be similar but have yet to see one....

Also an auto-magic and Manual Transmission one. Not happy about the chicom transmission.

German design, Chinese manufacture. There was a thread about it about 6 months ago, and that was a direct quote from Getrag.
I hadn’t seen that - I will have to look…. Getrag (now Magna PT) has their “Getrag Ford Transmissions” division in Cologne, Germany….. I know Magna has Chinese offices too; but they have German plants and Getrag is still HQ in Untergruppenbach….. are we certain they would farm out Fab to China?

Reading more: Getrag was purchased by (Canadian) Magna International (a massive automotive parts manufacturer in Ontario, Canada) in 2016. Magna went on to partner with other Auto Manufacturers to build transmissions specific to them. The aforementioned “Getrag Ford Transmissions” in Cologne was founded under Getrag in 2001 (still in operation today). They partnered with Volvo in 2004 (“Getrag All Wheel Drive AB”), and with Jiangling Motors Co in China in 2007 (“Getrag Transmission Co Ltd”). These are all separate business entities with exclusive relations with their partnered manufacturers…. Given Ford and Getrag through Magna maintain that relationship, I doubt production for the Bronco’s new and exclusive transmission would have been farmed out to one of the Chinese factories. There are no patent laws in China (or if there are, they are certainly not enforced). Ford wouldn’t want competing Chinese automakers to simply adopt the Bronco’s transmission….

That’s my theory anyway. I still haven’t found anything that definitively tells me in which plant this transmission is produced, but different transmissions appear to have been produced at different plants.

Looks like Ranger was #1 in 2020, but Tesla took 1st and 3rd with Mustang between in 2021: https://www.cars.com/american-made-index/
depends on who you look at

here its the Shelby GT500 is #1

https://www.caranddriver.com/features/g22639636/most-american-cars-and-trucks-you-can-buy/

in addition , cars.com says engine, the Tesla really doesn’t have an engine..they have electric motors (which have much less parts content than an internal combustion engine) The US changed part content definition from 2020 to 2021 for engine to be one whole part which works well for Tesla, but not for Ford..ea part of the engine used to be counted separately and obviously there are many more part to an ice engine built in the usa then the few parts of a electric motor. So an ice has intake, valves, springs, pistons...etc all usually made by USA suppliers...not so for an electric motor. while still made here probably three main components.

I would say the Ranger has the most parts made in the USA, counting all the parts that make up an ice engine than other vehicle but maybe a mustang. The idea is to put the most Americans to work.
