Aligned today. It feels the same to me to be honest, on-road anyway. I won't get to test it offroad till Windrock Broncos goes on the next ride on June 7th! I do need to recheck where the steering column connects. I could not get a torque wrench on this bolt, and it feels like I have 1/10 of a degree play in it. I don't remember any play in the wheel before. It is so slight though I may never have noticed it.

Finally bought some control arm and shock skids from Barnes, they have been sitting waiting to go on. Broke them out and got all the way to attaching the shock skids. This is easier tires off. I did it both ways to see. My drivers side needed some b hammer love first as I have beaten the snot out of these on rocks.

Okay, so
Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20250711_104109
after reading control arm skid instructions I see I need to drop the fuel tank.... nope, full tank have to wait. Idid the driver side. I did have to use liberal amounts of metallic persuader to move the stock metal closer to the right size. This all to make the skid to go on.

So I chopped a ebay Chinese bar 14 inches to work with my 2 door. I would not trust 16ga offroad, and these are cheapie metal that melts on normal weld settings for this guage. I got them to slap on when not wheeling.

I think I have a bikini top solution Bought one for a CJ as I hate the bimini covers, I also bought a CJ windjammer to modify... I don't have time to do any of it now though...

So here we are again. I am going to start posting pics of the install on the Maverick Tonneau cover.
Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260207_154555

It is longer than the 2 door from the back of the B-pillar to the gate.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260207_191133
I removed the front trim after pulling the pivot joint apart. Remove the screws on the lead edge and pry the automotive glue loose. (the glue is tricky; I should have tried some heat). I have some cheap Harbor freight trim tools I abuse often.

Chopping will come after we disassemble some glue rivets and screws.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260208_124009

I used a 5/16 bit to drill out rivets.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260208_125453

Then I chopped out several inches.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260208_133847

I set the depth low and, on my metal, circular saw I made a new hole for the tie down.
Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260208_143953

I then glued it together screwed and riveted it. I used a name brand epoxy glue.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260209_124705

Pulled the Bronco MIC top and test fit. 2 panels.

Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260210_124009

After cutting a rollbar hole I test fit with all panels on.
Ford Bronco Valhalla's Long term build thread 20260211_124426

I then cut down for the corner (Dremel using corner trim as a guide) and adjusted the hole for the roll bar. My current dimensions are 3.5x7.5x10.75" on the hole.
