Those wonderful bits come in real handy sometimes in a tight spot.Has any manufacturer EVER provided a tool worth a damn? I'm surprised they didnt include these wonderful bits...

OP should clarify weather he stripped the bolt or stripped the bolt head. I'm taking it as stripping the head. Some seem to be thinking it's the bolt.Shane, if I'm mounting Pod lights on the mirror mounts you think I should not put the torx bolts back in rather I should use a bolt and washer I pick up separately? I was planning on just using the torx bolt like Middleton Motors did in one of their videos on here. I appreciate your input.
Iād just assume if itās not proudly displayed, then itās probably not American made.Wish websites would say if their products were made in USA or elsewhere. You can never be sure these days, even with so-called American companies.
To be fair E-torx are awesome.Remove the Bronco Bolts and replace them with bolts that are not Torx bolts
Pix please!Heads up - using the provided star key/tool on the bronco bolts isnāt always the best idea. Not a super tight fit and as such slightly stripped a bolt.
Shocked that the provided tool doesnāt fit well enough tbh
It's not the wrench pattern, it's the bolt head. Evidently it's a softie. So replace bolt, but this might have been done to protect something down below that would be harder to reach. Bolt head soft, rest ok.To be fair E-torx are awesome.
But that pedal wrench is actually very useful/necessary for removing pedals on bikes. A standard wrench is too thick.Has any manufacturer EVER provided a tool worth a damn? I'm surprised they didnt include these wonderful bits...
Most of the Milwaukee Tool stuff is Chicom, although their engineering is in WI. Also a Chicom owned company.Wish websites would say if their products were made in USA or elsewhere. You can never be sure these days, even with so-called American companies.
But the impact is an electricians friend. And DO NOT use an impact.
As a side note I think largely everyone should think of the bronco bolts as place keepers. Since you may be mounting things differently or of differing thicknesses you will likely need a different bolt for your application. Use proper hardware and lock washers if you want things to stay put folks.
Watch out, some of the torx plus are a 5 point star pattern.I think the bolts are also Torx Plus, so slightly different shape. I noticed my t40 is a Hair loose. Need to get a t40 torx plus
I know my wife and her coworkers use em with drill bits and its super nervewracking. 90% of the holes I drill are in metal. Impacts destroy metal. I try to only use em for quick bolts I dont care about and hard turning chassis bolts. But the impact is an electricians friend.
Itās not tight until the impact clicks 20,30 times on a screwI know my wife and her coworkers use em with drill bits and its super nervewracking. 90% of the holes I drill are in metal. Impacts destroy metal. I try to only use em for quick bolts I dont care about and hard turning chassis bolts.
