But this isn’t the washout vinyl- rubberized floor. They stated numerous times this was the leather version of the BL...

Kinda off-topic. But how durable was the bed rug? Did it hold ATF stink? What about red clay?
My truck bed is dented and the spray in liner is ripped up in a few places.
My last one lasted 10 years with red clay/mud on it almost every weekend. ATF wasn't a problem, engine oil wasn't a problem, nothing seems to have hurt it. Use the soap setting at the car wash to blast it out, then rinse and air dry. It looked fine the day I sold it. I have one in my current truck, and while I don't use it hardly ever as a truck like I did the last one, and it's mostly covered all the time...It's fine after 7 years. Looks new.

It has been pretty well established that all the demo's roaming around out there are franken-models. I can't see Ford sticking that cheap looking carpet in a BL and this being exclusive to the Sport:

Who is really going to spray down the interior of their vehicles anyways. Even if they claim wash out; is it really? I think it's just a marketing gimmick most people won't actually put to the test. I wouldn't want to get my excessivly wet/muddy anyways beyond what's considered normal. I like my vehicles clean and don't want to ruin the interior on the most expensive vehicles I'll probably every purchase.

You can wash carpet. As long as the backing is waterproof, you should be fine.

I mean, how much washout capability do you need? This Bronco is with the leather seats. You'd have to be crazy to spray water all over these.

I dunno. My cows get rained on all the time and the "leather" comes out just fine.
