I just picked up my Bronco on Tuesday and I'm loving it so far. It's a Black Diamond 4-door in Cactus Grey.

But...Can anyone tell me what these are and why they are there?

This is in the back of the front wheelwell - one on each side.

And this is in the back trunk area.

Oh, and one more question. What is the significance of having the "R" red on the front of the Bronco?

Thanks for any help.
Those look like the rear seat cup holders that everyone is looking for.

Sadly I thought this thread was going to be a noob calling out other noob's for never searching for answers and instead making new threads on every thought.

But I see today is not that day.

Answer to your question: it's a stripper pole for sloths.
Aww come on Rick, be nice to the uninitiated. There was once a time when we knew nothing except pineapple pizza!

It is the first time we saw the body lines of the 6G without a cover. 😁

Ya know, I actually did search before asking my questions, but it’s difficult to find info about something when you don’t know what it’s called.

Thanks to the helpful members who actually answered my questions.

If you want to plug the hole on the end of the crash bar so that it doesn't fill with crud, hop over to Amazon and type in "Mabett Bronco." You'll find a dizzying array of foreign-made stuff to thrown on your Bronco, including the actually useful crash bar plugs.

There is another set of crash bars behind the front bumper.

And BTW, no Bronco wearing the red "R" is complete without paint-matched nipple rings on the front bumper :-(

Standard on all rear cargo paneling, even if you don’t have the prep kit for a hard top. This is a temporary location to stow the washer fluid line and wiper/rear defrost lines when not connected to a hard top.

Refer to the following thread if you're looking to add that down the road (not super easy).

Top image is the removable crash bar that give you better articulation/more room for larger tires at the cost of worse crash test rating.
...
It's my understanding a bronco was never crash-tested with the crash bars removed. My assumption (and it's an assumption) is that they were needed because the bronco was built with enough room for so many tires, but as delivered has very specific tires, and those specific tires are small enough that they needed something additional to limit rearward tire movement in a crash.
That would imply that once tires get large enough, the size of the tire itself will limit rearward movement as it would strike the body or other parts of the frame.

The search inputs check out! Really surprised it didn't result in a few pages of hits.

This thread is like a blind man at an orgy.
You're going to have to feel your way around.

First photo: They keep you from dying in a crash, unless you have certain tire and wheel combinations in which case they are deleted or can be removed without adverse effect. JK

It is what it is my friend. Don’t know a thing about it, but bought a Bronco….

Although hasn’t read one page of the owner manual or anything, but I bet has already created a Instagram page for it with a ton of posts of pics…..

This fad is so interesting to me. Next thread is about why it’s so loud inside the cab……
