For what limited off-roading I have done or plan to do, no. I think if you're going to go with 37s or God forbid 40s, and plan on doing hard core rocking, yes. The stock racks with really big tires can go into a fault mode under a lot of slow speed driving and turns (trails) due to heat. If you are one of these and not built, go with the 3.0. A couple of guys are trying to make the 3.0 rack work in pre 3.0 vehicles and running into programming issues. If and when this get's worked out, might be a good choice for those that need the beefier steering.

I’m waiting for those bugs to get worked out so I can upgrade to the 3.0 rack. Just FYI I’ve upped my psi to 12 lbs when wheeling and haven’t had a repeat of the heating issue yet. I also haven’t gotten into bind where I had to make a 270 point turn again either though .

Installed an 8" powered sub in my 2 door BB. I had already upgraded the 4" speakers and did the Forscan to get a flat eq line. It really finishes out the sound. I am not a head banger, but love my classic rock. Just enough bass to enjoy without shaking all around me. Kicker 4" and a Kicker 8" sub as well.

Yes. Those of us that have had surgery tend to take the easy route. And it does work. Wish they had one a little bit bigger that would flip it up into the back of the truck.
