I am trying to put together a set of "trail spares" to cover typical failures while wheeling a 6G Bronco. In my 68 Bronco, I always carried u-Joints, belts, various fluids, shop towels, tire repair kit, line clamps, compressor... There's been a lot of talk about inner-tie rod failure; not sure if it's hype or a real issue when wheeling a 6G Bronco.

What spares do you carry off-road?

I carry two inner tie rods currently. One for me and one for someone else that may need one

Seems like cheap insurance. Were you able to get the originals? I saw a thread saying the 2004 Ranger inners would work

I have been on several rides with as many as 35 Broncos with some pretty aggressive drivers and yet to have any failures. There aren’t that many things you can really field fix on a modern vehicle. That being said, I do carry a wide jaw crescent wrench that is needed to change a tie rod. I should probably buy a spare in case one goes south. Otherwise I carry the normal back country stuff. Ratchet strap, wire, zip ties, duct tape, basic tools.
