What's the Capable bumper?

Full steel underbody protection, accepts a winch and the prerunner bar, fog lights, and probably less constrained than the modular bumper

Good starting point and better to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper with than the modular bumper because it has fog lights + wiring + the switch for it already

this is a capable bumper NOT a modular bumper.

I don't think that's true, at least for the 2022 Badlands trim.

If you read the official ordering guide, at least for the Badlands, under standard feature it says, "full steel bash plates".

You hit the nail on the head.

People saying the capable bumper doesn't come with a steel bash plate. It comes with a plastic one.

That's just not true for the Black Diamond or the Badlands.

Gotcha. I haven't built out many of the trims besides the one that I want. But I know the heavy duty bash plates cannot be added as a standalone unless you have one of the special bumpers. Originally that was the HD bumper, but now I don't know what capable. I don't have the option of adding the capable bumper.

Capable bumper is only available on the BL and BD as a standard item. No other trims can get it. The only steel option for other trims is the modular, and you are correct, you can't get the full bash plates from the factory, but they are a part listed in the accessory catalog.
