Hey y’all, I’m surprised by the lack of information I’ve found on the wheel bearings. My truck is a non sas black diamond. Lifted with 35s. We do take it off road too, it’s my daily driver. 42k and I’ve got a wheel bearings gone bad. Hopefully ford will cover it under warranty. Is anyone else not having wheel bearing failures? There’s only one YouTube video I came across.

Doesn't seem to be an issue, however it's relatively new platform so I'm guessing the next year or so you may be seeing more videos once more roll over 100k+ miles

What offset and tires?

I was on Kendra klever rt 35x10.5x17. Wheels are the Everglades style wheels. Ran those tires for 40k miles or so.

First I've heard of any wheel bearings issues. Doubtful it will be covered under warranty. Fairly easy DIY if you have the tools.

Do you see a lot of mud offroad? Mud eats bearings.. Those seals keep grease in, not always water out in my off roading experience. Most older 4x4 manuals called for all fluids to be changed each time fording water and mud. No one was doing that, but it was the recommendation.

Just here for the inevitable dealer warranty denial due to aftermarket modifications.

Good news is a replacement bearing is relatively cheap and a couple hours worth of work. Just tackle it the next time you rotate your tires.

Front I'm assuming? Glad to hear warranty coverage, standard warranty or ESP? I vote modular wheel bearing as the number four automotive improvement in my lifetime (behind fuel injection disk brakes and electronic ignition). I still have bad dreams about tearing a front hub apart to pack every 10K praying I would not find any surprises and not screw it up.

I'm betting they told you the warranty will cover it to get you in the door. Once they see the lift and tires on a non-sas, they'll give you the price quote of what it's going to cost to have them fixed there and they won't even bother trying to file the warranty claim. Unfortunately, this is what most Dealershits have come to lately. Good luck

Good thing wheel bearing isn’t hard to change out. I’ll just buy a pair off rock auto or something. Though this same dealership, do take 4 hours to do an alignment
