How did you get the bumper mounted back on without the nut plate? I went to install these brackets today and ran into that problem. I supported/balanced the bumper in place with my Harbor Freight Badlands jack. Then just used both hands. With out the jack, you either find a way to support it or have two helpers to hold it while you install the bolts.
I highly recommend installing the frame horn brackets, I bought the LODs and used my winch twice. Once to pull myself from a mud pit and to pull a full-sized pickup with a trailer out of a water crossing. I watched your install video of the winch and was surprised that you did not use some type of frame horn brackets. Prior to installing the winch, reading through all the threads and seeing pictures, I knew the frame horn brackets were a must!
Shit, have people bent their frames without the horns??
Page 1 of this thread started it all, also in your video you broke it down to a science which left me scratching my head why you did not install the brackets especially after displaying the Ford diagram reenforcing the frame horns.
