I've been driving and heard a metallic pinging sound and thought, there goes that 10mm.

I found a really nice soft grip Snap-On ratchet and socket under the hood of my F-250.

Unfortunately I found it when I noticed the weird dent on the passenger side of my hood poking upwards.

Luckily the tech at the dealership did it. Still have the ratchet tho! They gave it to me like a trophy.

Had the same thing happen to me except the shop refused to admit was their fault or ratchet, it wasn’t a Snap-On or any other worthwhile brand, and they had the gall to ask me to leave it with them.

Why is it when you drop a bolt it always falls into that one place where you can't recover it?
Install ing A Pillar lights and I place one of the black accessory bolts on the cowling. It rolls off and drops through a hole and goes under the cowling. I remove the wiper and lift up the cowling, go to grab the bolt and it disappears into the Black Hole. Already have replacement pack of 25 coming from Amazon. Just hope I don't get a rattle that drives me nuts. If anyone needs one, I have extras.

This reminds me of years ago I stopped by a buddy of mine's shop after work...........

Everyone was on the floor with flashlights looking for something. I had to ask, WTF is going on here???? Did someone loose a contact??? I got the evil eye and my buddy said worse, I lost a ball bearing, and a small one at that. I said OK, stop looking. Where were you when it got lost. I placed another bearing of the same size in the same location as he told me. I then rolled the bearing in the direction last seen and said follow that SOB, don't let it out of your sight !!!! Sure enough that mother effer rolled across the floor over to another bench, on the other side of the shop, bounced off some stuff under the bench and then came to rest>>>>>>>>>right beside the "lost" bearing. I heard "FOUND IT!!!!" To which I replied "Your welcome". They were all pissed they had been looking for it for an hour.


As said earlier Murphy's Law reigns supreme. If it can happen>>>>>>>it will.
