So I did my speaker upgrades one step at a time. First I replaced the dash speakers with 93DB Hertz speakers and bass blockers. The clarity and highs were drastically improved. The loudness dropped by 1DB on my meter however. Barely noticeable. For a grand total of $85 dollars it was a great upgrade.

My setup is stock fronts, rear pods (killmat + poly fill) with 4" infinity speaker, and factory sub (killmat around the box, poly fill inside box, killmat and poly fill in the body cavity).

I do have a 2023 with the sub delete, so once I obtained a factory sub, it was simply turning the sub on, turning the EQ off and setting the rear to "speaker". I am very very pleased with how the stereo sounds now.

I may replace the front dash speakers, but I actually think they balance quite well after all I've done.
I have a 2023 with sub delete and this is exactly what I would like to do. I have a few questions for you:
- did you order the sub from Ford?
- why not install a kicker sub in the stock enclosure?
- did you need to go into Forscan to make the sub active?
- I thought a fake amp was installed with the sub delete, did you replace it with a stock amp?

I have a 2023 with sun delete and this is exactly what I would like to do. I have a few questions for you:

I sourced a factory sub+amp+enclosure from a person that got rid of their 2023 factory sub. I then gave my fake sub to my friend with a 2022 Bronco, so they could use the enclosure. I kept the factory amp+sub to 1st see how well it performed (which I think it does a good enough job for me). Forscan was needed.

When Ford starts putting "real" subs back into these, I imagine people will take them out and the market will have factory setups more readily available. Since only those 2023 made in December and prior have the actual factory setup, they're hard to come by at present.

As mentioned in this thread previously, and in other threads, you can get a Fusion amp and a subwoofer of your choice, install them onto your 2023 enclosure, plug the Fusion amp into your 2023 wiring harness, and turn on the sub. That would achieve the same thing.

So what is the recommended course of action if you have the B&O system? I believe you cannot change things in Forescan with B&O so is just swapping speakers worth it in this system?

I replaced the dash and rear pillar with 4” infinity. It was a noticeable improvement. If you are doing the dash speakers buy two more and do the rear pillar, it is actually an easier replacement, IMO.

I have a 23 with the sub delete. Got a factory amp and kicker sub. It was easy, replacement. It took longer to remove the trim panels than the actual install. You will need forescan if you go this route, just search for sub delete and you find a ton of great easy to follow information.

As mentioned noticeable sound improvement with just replacing the 4 factory 4” speakers. The sub, made a significant improvement. Admittedly not perfect, but I’m really happy with the Sound now.

Add the Ford Fusion amp and an aftermarket subwoofer such as the Kicker. Will cost about $200 shipped. Then you'll need to access with Forscan to adjust settings.

I'll be installing mine in the next few days.
I'll also be installing 2 pairs of the 4" Infinities, in dash and rollbar. At $45/pair they're a great deal. They do need plug adapters ($10/pr) and a Bass blocker ($10) for the dash speakers, so $125 for the setup.
I was considering larger 6.5" speakers and Mabett pods for the rollbar, but went with the lower $$ option for now.

The more popular opinion on the board is the kick panel speakers are decent, and upgrading the dash speakers gives more of an improvement (?)... that's somewhat of a question, based on what I've read, not what I've done.
That's fair. I did both at the same time with a Key 200.4 so I had a lot of variables. Ultimately I felt like the kick panel speakers made a larger improvement in sound, but I'm sure the amp made a big difference there too.

I know the base sound system has been discussed many times before but what I cannot determine is will replacing only the front 2 dash speakers be worth the trouble. Every discussion includes subs and amps etc, but all I can do myself is perhaps replace the dash speakers with a better quality speaker. Is this worth it or just wasting my time if that’s all I can do. Will the sound be noticably better or not. Thanks
Yes. I replaced all 6 with Skar, it made a big difference. The kick panel replacement is great, but not as good as I was hoping for.
I'm very disappointed in the whole stereo system in the 2022. The Sport was amazing, but they really cut corners with the Bronco tho.

I say yes, you will get "some" better sound for sure. And it's an easy job.

So, the question is, are you all talking about the basic sound system on the Bronco or are you talking about the B&O as well?
'Cause I can tell you that my B&O doesn't sound too bad on my 22 Bronco WT

Mine is the base system with subwoofer delete. I added the Fusion amp and Kicker 6.75" sub and that made a nice difference.

A few days ago I replaced the dash speakers with Infinity Reference 4" speakers and 600 Hz bass blockers. It definitely sounds a lot better. Well worth the about $80 total investment. I bought the harnesses with bass blockers from fast-daddy on ebay. A little pricey for what they are, but uses the factory connectors with no cutting required.

Unfortunately, now iit's making me want to do something with the rear pods.
